Steering Column Switches: Testing: Horn: Legend

  1. Obtain radio anti-theft code. Put front wheels in straight-ahead position. Disconnect negative and positive battery cables. Remove lower instrument panel cover.
  2. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT Section. Unplug air bag connector from clockspring. Install shorting connector. Unplug 7-pin connector from vehicle harness. Install Test Harness (07MAZ-SP00600).
  3. Check for continuity between terminal No. 3 on test harness and body ground. Continuity should exist with horn sounder pressed. Continuity should not exist with horn sounder released.
