Caster Inspection (Legend)

  1. Ensure tire pressure is correct. Lift front of vehicle and place turning radius gauges beneath front wheels. Lower vehicle. Raise rear of vehicle and place under rear wheels boards that are the same thickness as the turning radius gauges.
  2. Lower vehicle. Remove 2 lug nuts and install Camber/Caster Gauge and Gauge Attachment (07GAK-SD40101). Apply front brake. Turn front wheel 20 degrees inward. Turn adjusting screw on caster gauge to position bubble at 0 degrees.
  3. Turn wheel outward 20 degrees and read caster on the gauge with bubble at center of gauge. If readings are not within specification, check for bent or damaged suspension components. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
