Rectifier Diodes

  1. Place rectifier assembly on bench. Touch diode plate with an ohmmeter lead, and alternately touch each of the 4 diode leads with remaining ohmmeter remaining lead. Note ohmmeter reading. Reverse leads and repeat test for all diodes.
  2. All diodes should show a low reading in one direction and NO reading in opposite direction. If any rectifier diode is defective, replace rectifier assembly.
