Steering Column (Legend): Installation

1. Position steering column assembly into hole on floorboard. Align reference marks and install "U" joint onto pinion shaft. Tighten "U" joint-to-pinion shaft bolts.
2. Install steering joint cover. Install steering column to underside of dashboard. Ensure cable reel is centered. To center cable reel, turn cable reel clockwise until it stops turning. Rotate cable reel counterclockwise approximately 2 turns.
3. The Yellow gear tooth should line up with alignment mark on cover, and arrow mark on cable reel should point straight up. See Fig 1 . Install steering wheel. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
