Engine Mechanical: Starter: Description

Nippondenso starters are 4-brush, solenoid-actuated, gear reduction-type, equipped with an overrunning clutch. The brush holder assembly retains brushes and springs in the starter housing. Legend models use a starter relay. Relay is mounted on relay panel (relay nearest mounting bracket), to left of steering column under dash.
