Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

The ECU contains memories for basic injection timing and duration, electronic idle control, ignition timing control, ECU back-up functions and other control functions.

When the "CHECK ENGINE" dash warning light comes on, Red LED in ECU flashes trouble code(s), if a system problem is present. On Legend, Yellow LED in ECU is used only for idle adjustment and not for trouble shooting code(s).

On Legend Sedan, ECU is located under the front passenger's seat. On Legend Coupe, ECU is located under carpet in passenger's side footwell.
