Charge Warning Light Check

  1. Turn on the ignition. The charge warning light should come on. If light comes on, proceed to ALTERNATOR OUTPUT TEST . If light does not come on, disconnect the alternator connector and short harness connector "L" (White/Blue wire) to ground.
  2. If light now comes on, proceed to ALTERNATOR OUTPUT TEST . If light does not come on, check for:
    • Blown fuse No. 4.
    • An open in White/Blue wire between warning light and voltage regulator.
    • An open in Black/Yellow wire between warning light and dash fuse block, or dash fuse box and ignition switch.
