Output Signals
Not all components are used on all models. To determine control (output) usage on specific models, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
For theory and operation of specific output components, refer to system indicated in brackets. The ECU processes information from the input sensors and sends appropriate voltage control signals to the following engine controls:
- A/C Compressor Clutch Relay Signal (Idle Speed)
- Air Suction Control Solenoid Valve (Emission Systems)
- By-Pass Control Solenoid Valves "A" & "B" (Air Induction System)
- "CHECK ENGINE" Light (Self-Diagnostic System)
- EGR Control Solenoid Valve (Emission Systems)
- Electronic Air Control Valve (Idle Speed)
- Fuel Injectors (Fuel Control)
- Fuel Pressure Regulator Cut-Off Solenoid (Fuel Delivery)
- Fuel Pump Main Relay (Fuel Delivery)
- Idle Up Solenoid Valve (Idle Speed)
- Igniter Unit (Ignition System)
- Purge Cut-Off Solenoid Valve (Emission Systems)
- Resonator Control Valve (Miscellaneous Controls)
