Parking Brake Switch
- Remove ABS fuse No. 2 for at least 3 seconds to clear trouble code. Test drive vehicle. If ANTI-LOCK warning light and control unit LED are off (no code), the vehicle was probably driven with the parking brake applied.
- If parking brake was not applied, check for low brake fluid level in master cylinder. Refill if necessary. Check for short circuit in Green/Red wire between BRAKE warning light and parking brake switch. Check for short circuit in Green/Red wire between BRAKE warning light and brake fluid level switch.
- Also check for blown bulb in BRAKE warning light. Check for open circuit in Green/Red wire between BRAKE warning light and parking brake switch. Check for open circuit in Green/Red wire between parking brake switch and control unit. If all items are okay, check for loose or damaged control unit connectors. If connectors are okay, install a known good control unit and retest.
