Defective Parking Brake Component

  1. Ensure vehicle was not driven with parking brake applied for more than 30 seconds. Check brake fluid level. Check Green/Red wire between "BRAKE" warning light and parking brake switch, and "BRAKE" warning light and brake fluid level switch.
  2. Ensure "BRAKE" warning light bulb. Check for open in Green/Red wire between "BRAKE" warning light and parking brake, and Green/Red wire between parking brake switch and control unit. If everything is okay, all connections. If connections are okay, replace ECM and retest.
