Engine Identification

Engine number is stamped on block in front of No. 4 cylinder and on plate above transaxle. First 5 characters of number identify engine type. The 6th character identifies model year (1 for 1986). The 7th character identifies emission group (0 for Calif.; 5 for Federal and High Altitude). The remaining 5 characters identify engine serial number.
