Determining Which TPM System Is Installed

Volvo provides two different systems to monitor tire pressure: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) or Tire Monitor. To see which system is installed in the vehicle, press the MY CAR button on the center console. Go to SETTINGS > CAR SETTINGS. The menu will say either TIRE MONITORING (this is the Indirect System), or TIRE PRESSURE (this is the Direct System).
