Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-2A0A
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) measures the voltage difference between the maximum and minimum values for the center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). The difference must be greater than 0.3 V.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers that these parameters are not reached after approximately 5 minutes and the accumulated or actual probe preheating has reached its parameter.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed approximately 5 minutes after starting (if probe preheating is active and at least one fuel shut-off has been made).
Substitute Value
- Center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) control shut off.
Possible Source
- Contact resistance and/or oxidation in the terminals
- Damaged center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
