Inspection Procedure

  1. Is this condition worse in comparison with other vehicle? 
    1. YES : Receiving environment is bad. 
    2. NO : Go to next step. 
  2. Are there any parts installed additionally? (Sun shade film, telephone antenna, etc.) 
    1. YES : Does the condition get better if removing them? Influence of those parts. 
    2. NO : Go to next step. 
  3. Check if there is any scratch and breaking of a wire for glass antenna and defogger pattern. (Visual check) 
    1. YES : Repair (See "Defogger system") (See  INSPECTION  ) 
    2. NO : Go to next step. 
  4. Is contact of radio plug jack OK? 
    1. NO : Take measures for contact. 
    2. YES : Go to next step. 
  5. Is antenna terminal on glass surface in contact with the defogger terminal? 
    1. NO : Take measures for contact. 
    2. YES : Go to next step. 
  6. Is there continuity in antenna cord? 
    1. NO : Replace antenna cord. 
    2. YES : Go to next step. 
  7. Check grounding of antenna, antenna cord and noise filter. 
    1. NG : Grounding failure. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  8. Does condition get better by replacing antenna cord? 
    1. YES : Replace antenna cord. 
    2. NO : Replace rear window glass.
