Center Differential Carrier: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the seal rings.
    NOTE:
    • Use new seal rings.
    • Do not stretch the seal ring excessively.
    • Apply CVTF after installation.

  2. Install the center differential assembly.

  3. Install the transfer clutch. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Transfer Clutch.>
  4. Select driven plate No. 3 to replace. <Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , Transfer Clutch.>
  5. Install the rear drive shaft. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Rear Drive Shaft.>
  6. Select the rear drive shaft shim. <Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , Rear Drive Shaft.>
  7. Install the extension case. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Extension Case.>
  8. Install the transmission assembly to the vehicle. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Automatic Transmission Assembly.>
