Preliminary Procedure  Remove the muffler. Refer to EXHAUST MUFFLER REPLACEMENT (LAU/A28NER) , EXHAUST MUFFLER REPLACEMENT (SPARE PART) , EXHAUST MUFFLER REPLACEMENT (LBY/A20DTR) , EXHAUST MUFFLER REPLACEMENT (LBS/A20DTH) or EXHAUST MUFFLER REPLACEMENT (LHU/A20NFT, LLU/A16LET) . Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT . Remove both rear wheel drive shafts. Refer to REAR WHEEL DRIVE SHAFT REPLACEMENT . Remove the bushing bolts and move aside the stabilizer shaft. Refer to STABILIZER SHAFT REPLACEMENT (GNC) or STABILIZER SHAFT REPLACEMENT (GNE FWD) .
1	Rear Axle Assembly Fasteners (Qty: 4) WARNING: To prevent personal injury and/or component damage, support the differential case when removing the case from the axle housing. If the case is not supported, the differential case could fall and cause personal injury or damage to the differential case. Refer to FASTENER CAUTION . Procedure  Support with a column jack. Secure with cable ties. Install new bolts. Tighten  90 Nm. (66 lb ft) + 90 degrees + 15 degrees
2	Differential Carrier: Procedure  Check the level in the rear axle. Refer to REAR AXLE LUBRICANT LEVEL INSPECTION  Fill rear axle oil. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT
