Removal & Installation (9-5 Series 4-Cylinder)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover, crankcase ventilation hose, oil level indicator tube, throttle disc cover and throttle cable. Loosen turbocharger delivery pipe bolt on cylinder head. Loosen inlet elbow hose clamps and turn hose upward.
  2. Locate wiring harness bracket at corner of cylinder head. Loosen front bolt and remove rear bolt. Lift bracket and bend it rearwards. Unplug wiring harness from IDM, injectors, MAP, MAF and CAAP sensors. Disconnect harness clips. Remove 2 fuel rail bolts. Disconnect pressure regulator vacuum hose.
  3. Secure injectors to fuel rail using plastic zip ties around electrical connector at injector. Carefully remove fuel rail and injectors as an assembly. Remove injector clips. Remove injectors from fuel rail. To install injectors, lubricate injector "O" ring with petroleum jelly and reinstall. Spray injector harness connectors with Kontakt 61 before reconnecting. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
