Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
  2. Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the ground circuits X1 terminals 12 and 15 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, measure between the Ignition Voltage circuit X1 terminal 8 and ground.The readings should not differ by more than 2 volts than the battery terminal voltage.
    • If less than the specified range, test the Ignition Voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
