Courtesy Lighting

Interior courtesy lamps will illuminate if a remote unlock occurs. The lamps will remain on for 40 seconds or until a vehicle door opens. Any time a vehicle door opens, the system waits for the doors to close. If one of the doors that was opened/closed was the driver's door, the interior lamps will remain on for 10 seconds or until the vehicle ignition is turned on after which the lamps will slowly "dim-to-off". If the interior lamps are turned on from a switch other than the driver's door (instrument panel switch/other doors), the interior lamps will immediately slowly "dim-to-off".
