- INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION NOTE:
Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.
HINT:
Perform this inspection with the door switch of the map light assembly on.
LIGHTS CONTROLLED BY ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEMControl Condition Lights that Operate Actuation Area-linked With the engine switch off and all of the doors closed and locked, enter an exterior detection area while carrying an electrical key transmitter and check that the lights that operate turn on for approximately 15 seconds and then turn off. - Front Dome Light
- Rear Dome Light
- Footwell Light
Door Lock/Unlock-linked With the engine switch off and all of the doors closed and locked, unlock either front door using an unlock operation (key-linked, wireless or entry unlock operation) and check that the lights that operate turn on for 15 seconds and then turn off. - Front Dome Light

- Footwell Light
Door Open/Close-linked With the engine switch off and all of the doors closed, open either front door and check that the lights that operate turn on. While the lights that operate are on, close all of the doors and check that the lights that operate turn off after approximately 15 seconds. - Front Dome Light

With the engine switch on, open either front door and check that the lights that operate turn on. While the lights that operate are on, close all of the doors and check that the lights that operate turn off. - Front Dome Light

Engine Switch-linked Turn the engine switch from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off and check that the lights that operate turn on for approximately 15 seconds and then turn off. - Front Dome Light

Turn the engine switch on (ACC) or on (IG) and check that the lights that operate turn on. - Ambient Illumination Light
- Engine Switch Illumination
Turn the engine switch from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off and check that the lights that operate turn off. Ambient Illumination Light Shift position-linked With the engine switch on (ACC) or on (IG), move the shift lever from P to any other position and check that the lights that operate dim. While the lights that operate are on, move the shift lever to P and check that the lights that operate return to full brightness. Ambient Illumination Light - INSPECT BATTERY SAVING CONTROL OPERATION
- The operations and conditions of this control are described below.
Control Condition Lights that Operate Basic operation When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.
HINT:Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.
- The engine switch is turned on (ACC or IG).
- Any door is opened and closed.
- The luggage compartment door is opened and closed.
- Any door is unlocked.
- The key enters any exterior actuation area.

Interior light auto cut operation When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.
