DTC P144C: Open in Secondary Air Injection System Heater Control Circuit; DTC P144D: Short in Secondary Air Injection System Heater Control Circuit [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Inspect the integration relay (AIR PMP HTR) (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [09/2015 - ] ).

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY 

Result: 

OK 

See step  2

1. Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   1M-1 - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

3. Reinstall the integration relay.

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK 

See step  3

1. Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1N-10 - A38-14 (HAI1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   1N-10 or A38-14 (HAI1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Reinstall the integration relay.
5. Reconnect the ECM connector.

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE ECM 

(Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
