Battery System (Service Information): Battery: Removal: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 
    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Open the front luggage compartment trim cover and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  4. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Open the battery terminal cap.
    2. Loosen the nut and separate the positive (+) battery terminal.
    3. Remove the nut.

    4. Remove the battery clamp.
    5. Disconnect the battery ventilation hose.

    6. Remove the battery.
