Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

  2. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")

  4. Separate the low pressure fuel tube quick-connector (A).

    NOTE:
    • Pull the cover (B) of the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A) in the direction of arrow.

    • Separate the fuel feed tube quick-connector (B) by pushing the button (A) and pulling it in the direction of arrow.

  5. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors (A).

  6. Remove the engine foam (A).

  7. Disconnect the ignition coil connector (A).

  8. Remove the ignition coil (A) after removing the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
