Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Diesel/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Drain the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Draining 
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    Wiring Harness (1) Disconnect

  5. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (2) Remove
  6. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (3) Remove
  7. Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (4) Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  8. GM4298747

    Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  9. Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  10. GM4298750

    Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.

  11. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove (Qty: 4)
  12. Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove (Qty: 2)
  13. GM4298752

    Fuel Tank (1) - Remove

  14. If replacing fuel tank transfer parts as necessary.
