Fuel Pump: Installation

Install new seal and hold in place with heavy grease. Install gasket, pump unit and locking ring. Ensure seal does not move and locating keys are in keyways. Connect fuel lines and electrical connector. Install fuel tank.

1. Ensure fittings on pump have new gaskets in place and are tightened properly. Wiring harness terminals must be pushed onto pump terminals far enough to seal.
2. Wrap isolator around pump, locating slot in isolator so it faces bracket base. Push pump and isolator into bracket.
3. Tab of isolator must contact tab of bracket, and bracket tabs must not contact pump case. Bend rear tab to secure pump. Connect fuel lines and electrical harness.
