Test 156B - Repairing RKE Disarm Function
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
Perform TEST 156A before proceeding with this test.
- Disconnect Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module connector. See Figure. Ensure connector is clean and undamaged. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module connector terminal "H" (White wire). If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace RKE module. If voltage is less than 4 volts, go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of RKE module connector terminal "H" (White wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in White wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Access Body Control Module (BCM). With connectors connected, connect jumper wire between BCM Gray connector terminal No. 15 (White wire) and ground. If courtesy lights come on, repair open White wire. If courtesy lights do not come on, replace BCM.
