Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  2. Separate Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod at Steering Knuckle - Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
  3. Separate Front Stabilizer Shaft Link at Front Stabilizer Shaft - Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement 
  4. { If equipped } Remove Propeller Shaft - Propeller Shaft Replacement
  5. Remove the bolt from the intermediate shaft bracket to the front cradle. Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement
  6. Position adjustable stands underneath the left and right rear of the drivetrain and front suspension frame.

  7. Remove the left and right frame reinforcement bolts. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement

  8. Loosen the front frame reinforcement bolts (1). Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement
  9. Loosen the front frame bolts (2). Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement

  10. Loosen the front frame rear bolts (1). Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement

  11. Lower the front frame (1) from the frame rail (2) until enough clearance is gained to remove the front stabilizer shaft.
    12. NOTE:

    If replacing the front stabilizer shaft, use NEW front stabilizer shaft insulators.

  12. Remove the front stabilizer shaft insulators. Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement

  13. Remove the front stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
