Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Exhaust Muffler - Remove - Exhaust Muffler Replacement (L5Q) Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LV7) 
  3. Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.
  4. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    CAUTION: Do not bend the fuel tank straps. Bending the fuel tank straps may cause damage to the straps.
  5. Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove
  6. Fuel Tank Heat Shield Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]

  7. Fuel Tank Heat Shield (2) - Remove
