Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The radio control module and the radio antenna module cannot be replaced individually.

Lower the rear of the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in Interior Trim.
Disconnect the electrical connector (2) attached to the rear quarter glass panel.

Remove the module (1) bolt.
Remove the control module (1) from the roof.
Remove the cable (2, 3) from the roof cross member by removing the cable clips (1).

Disconnect the electrical connector (2) attached to the rear quarter glass panel (1).

Remove the module (3) bolt.
Remove the antenna module from the roof.
Remove the radio control modules and cable from the vehicle.
