Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Allow sufficient time for the engine to cool before removing the ECT sensor. A hot engine may cause an excessive coolant loss or a personal injury.

Turn the ignition OFF.
Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) .

Remove the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.

Remove the coolant temperature sensor.
