DTC Advanced Diagnostics: U187F (PGM-FI System (3.0L Engine)) (2025)
DTC U187F : Cyber Security Malfunction (Secure Boot)
General Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) starts operation after verifying the validity of the normal control software. The expected value for verifying the validity is written together with the normal control software, and consistency with the expected value is determined every startup. If an expect value update fails or unvalid software is found, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
